If you ordered a DVD for one of the April 18, 2010

Register Now for 2010-11 Religious Education
We already have more than 900 students
registered for classes, so classes are beginning to fill up. If you have
not registered your children yet, please do so very soon so you have the best
chance of getting your first choice for day and time. We offer Religious Education for
children
age 3 through High School. Additional registration information and forms
are
available on our
Registration Information page (link at left).

High
Seas Expedition!
We are now done
with our rollicking 'High
Seas Expedition' Totally Catholic Vacation Bible School! Thank you to all of our
volunteer crew leaders and station leaders, all of the members of our crews and
to everyone else who has supported us on this fun adventure to learn more about
God's mighty love.
Please see the VBS link at left for more pictures and a preview of next year's
Pandemonium- where God is wild about us!
Have you thought about being a catechist but have
never given it
a try? We still need 50 catechists to teach our children!
We have
teaching opportunities for pre-school through high school. Our catechists teach
in teams of two with a class of 15 students. All lesson plans and materials are
provided for you and tuition is waived for your children. We even have child
care for your younger children. Stop by the Religious Education Office to see
what opportunities are available. We can show you curriculum and lesson plans
and help you choose the grade that is best for you. Please call the office at
896-5683 or email Eileen Smith at
e.smith@stephen.org or Mary Maguire at
m.maguire@stephen.org for more information.

Our best wishes to
Sandra Jameson for being named
‘Woman
of the Year’ by
the Council of Catholic Women.
Sandra is a wonderful example of
loving stewardship of our parish gifts.
She has served St. Stephen’s in many areas, including Parish Festival, Trivia
Night, and the Chili Challenge. Sandra is currently serving as Board of
Education president. She
has been a dedicated catechist for many years, as well as being a founding
member of the Life Teen C.O.R.E. team.
Congratulations, Sandra!

R.E. Registration
We have new students join us
throughout the year! If you are new to our community or just feel it is
time to get your children involved in Religious Education, we are here to help.
In
addition to providing religious education for our elementary students, we have a
wonderful Sunday School program for children age 3-5, as well as a fabulous Life
Teen program for our high school students.
We also have two multi-age classes for our
Special Needs students. Registration
information and forms are available on the Registration
page of the website. Tuition
assistance is also available due to the generosity of
many individuals and organizations in our parish.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your family’s faith formation!
If
you have questions or need additional help,
please contact the R.E. Office.
Weather
Announcements and Cancellations
The Religious
Education program observes the school closing policies of the Millard School
District. If Millard Public Schools cancel classes or evening activities
due to inclement weather, we will not hold Religious Education classes or
activities that evening. Closings will be published on the Weather
Information page of the parish website. Any plans for rescheduling activities will also
be posted on the website. All snow and weather related announcements will also be
broadcast on KFAB/KFOR radio and KETV, WOWT, and KMTV television.
Parents
should always use their discretion as to whether it is safe for their children
to attend class.
