Mission Statement
The St. Stephen's Sacristans will ensure that each liturgy takes place in
a space carefully prepared to reflect the importance of the relationship between
the worshipping community and the appearance of where they pray.
The Sacristan provides a vital service
to the community. You do all the things necessary to keep the sanctuary and
sacristy clean and orderly. The duties include making sure that everyone who
will participate in the celebration has arrived or substitutes have been found,
ensuring that everyone involved in the celebration knows what is expected of
them, and taking care of any other details that would detract from the
celebrant's ability to serve the community.
The ideal candidate will have an eye for detail and work well under pressure.
