Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion

In order to provide adequate pastoral care to God's faithful, the church has provided to extend the ministry of distributing the Holy Eucharist to the non-ordained adults in extraordinary circumstances. This means that when a priest or deacon is not available, or if there are not enough priests and deacons available, that an extraordinary minister may distribute the Body and Blood of Christ.

Requirements:
1. Great devotion to the Eucharist both in attending Mass and in appreciation for the presence of Our Lord in the Eucharist.
2. Attend the Archdiocesan training and mandation ceremony
3. Attend the St. Stephen the Martyr training to learn the ins & outs of our own parish Liturgies.

If you are interested in joining the Liturgy team and becoming an Extraordinary Minister of the Eucharist, please call the parish office at  861-4537 and ask for Karen Hardy.

Eucharist for the Homebound

Sometimes parishioners are not able to join us at church to celebrate the Eucharist due to illness or infirmity. If you feel called to help others who are in need, perhaps the EMHC-Homebound ministry is for you. We need EMHCs who are able to visit parishioners at home or in the hospital and bring the Eucharist to those parishioners who can not join us at Mass.

If you are interested in this ministry please contact John Kolar at 301-3142 or jkolar1@cox.net.
