Caring for the needs of our families!

St. Stephen the Martyr Parish is committed to caring for the special needs of others. Our Caring Ministries are designed to provide an avenue for parishioners to assist others and or receive assistance.

A brief description of our Care Ministries is provided below. Click on specific ministry links to view detailed ministry information.

Our Welcoming Ministry is a neighborhood ministry that welcomes new parishioners.

The Stephen Ministry provides one-to-one caring relationships to those who are experiencing any type of life transition or need.  Everyone goes through life transitions.  Having someone to care, to listen, to share God's love with you can help get you through the experience.

Our Funeral Dinner Ministry volunteers prepare and serve a luncheon for family and friends following the funeral.  Ministry volunteers provide salads and desserts and or help with serving and cleanup of the luncheon.

The Human Needs Ministry serves the material needs of parishioners in need. The ministry volunteers assist those in need with meals, transportation, and other services.

Our EME Homebound Ministry volunteers take Communion to parishioners who are unable to attend Sunday Mass.

The Support Group Ministry offers bereavement, widowed, and divorced, support groups. Rainbows support for children dealing with loss due to death or divorce.

Our Food Pantry Ministry provides food, household products, and personal care items for families in need of assistance. Parish families can assist the food pantry through regular donations and or recommending the use of the pantry those who may benefit from the ministry.

Always our Children
A support ministry for parents of gay & lesbian children.  A private and confidential place where parents can meet with another couple to receive support and share...a place of compassion and understanding....an environment of trust where you can speak freely without fear.
