Caring
for the needs of our families! St. Stephen the Martyr Parish is
committed to caring for the special needs of others. Our Caring Ministries are
designed to provide an avenue for parishioners to assist others and or receive
assistance.
A brief description of our Care Ministries is provided below. Click on

Our
Welcoming Ministry is a neighborhood ministry that welcomes
new parishioners.
The
Stephen Ministry provides one-to-one
caring relationships to those who are experiencing any type of life transition
or need. Everyone goes through life transitions. Having someone to
care, to listen, to share God's love with you can help get you through the
experience.
Our
Funeral Dinner Ministry volunteers
prepare and serve a luncheon for family and friends following the funeral.
Ministry volunteers provide salads and desserts and or help with serving and
cleanup of the luncheon.
The
Human Needs Ministry
serves the material needs of parishioners in
need. The ministry volunteers assist those in need with meals, transportation,
and other services.
Our
EME Homebound Ministry volunteers take
Communion to parishioners who are unable to attend Sunday Mass.
The
Support Group Ministry offers
bereavement, widowed, and divorced, support groups. Rainbows support for
children dealing with loss due to death or divorce.
Our
Food Pantry Ministry provides food,
household products, and personal care items for families in need of assistance.
Parish families can assist the food pantry through regular donations and or
recommending the use of the pantry those who may benefit from the ministry.
Always our Children
A support ministry for parents of gay & lesbian children. A private and
confidential place where parents can meet with another couple to receive support
and share...a place of compassion and understanding....an environment of trust
where you can speak freely without fear.
